Update and refresh your ACLS knowledge and skills
Includes ACLS recertification modules with updates based on the 2010 ILCOR International Consensus on CPR and ECC Science with Treatment Recommendations
This ACLS Recertification course reflects the 2010 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for CPR and ECC and ILCOR International Consensus on CPR and ECC Science with Treatment Recommendations. If you ever have provided assistance to someone in need of medical help during a life-threatening cardiopulmonary emergency, you know it's critical to have the right information to correctly identify and treat the patient. It also helps to be able to count on colleagues around you, so you can act as a team and give your patient the highest probability for survival. In order to provide the very best care, health care professionals are asked to achieve ACLS renewal requirements every two years.
The ACLS renewal online course offered by Health Education Solutions is designed for health care professionals who have been previously certified. This ACLS course offers a refresher of knowledge and skills needed to perform ACLS activities for adults in emergency situations. The HES ACLS renewal online curriculum covers all material included in the initial ACLS training course, and also brings health care professionals up to date with the latest advances in technology and treatments. This ACLS renewal course encourages health care professionals to work together as a team for more positive outcomes.
This ACLS renewal online course includes the most recent changes from the 2010 Guidelines, plus detailed information for carrying out the new recommendations. Study is completed at the student's own pace online, with online testing and retesting as needed. No in-person testing is required.
Highlights of our ACLS renewal online curriculum:
HES provides ACLS renewal training within twelve online interactive modules.
Each ACLS renewal module covers one area of training related to assisting a person who is experiencing a cardiopulmonary incident. The first three ACLS modules address the following concerns:
- Assembling a team to provide the quickest and most comprehensive care during the emergency
- Assessing the person's condition to determine immediate needs and plan a treatment approach
- Providing respiratory support, CPR, and AED interventions as indicated by the assessment
The bulk of the ACLS renewal curriculum covers a number of different conditions that indicate life-threatening cardiopulmonary emergencies. One ACLS renewal module helps medical professionals identify and deliver emergency treatment to people who have suffered an acute stroke. The ACLS renewal course also addresses the proper way to treat people at the scene, as well as prepare them to be taken to a hospital for further treatment.
